3. Dribble the ball avoiding moving targets.

Session Evaluation

From the start of the session I knew I had to improve team cohesion and as we where working on dribbling I decided the whole group could work together and help each other improve. Using the inclusion style of coaching descried by (Mcshane, 2002) this allows the participants choice there own difficulty but overall there are taking part in the same drill altogether. I set up three grids and explained and demonstrated the drills that were linked to the three session objectives, one grid per objectives.

Half way through the session I ask everybody to stop as there concentration levels had fallen. Concentration is the key to been successful at sport (Moran 2002) so I pulled everybody together and explained what I expected form the group and how we needed to work together as a team to progress once on the football pitch. The message got across to all participants and for the first time everybody was working together to make the session a success.

Overall I feel the session went well and all of the objectives where met. Introducing the teacher in to assist Emma also helped as she was able to remind her of the drills whilst I assisted other group members.
