Session Evaluation
As this was just my second week training the girl I wanted to still ensure I had control over the group so continued with a democratic training style and may do so for the whole six week period. To start with I decided to split the group in to pairs and ask them to throw the ball at different heights to allow there partner to get used to the skill in a closed environment. (Maher 2006)
After doing the drill repeatedly from different heights I progressed the stronger members of the team on to work in a more open environment. I did this by giving four groups a 10x10 square where they where asked to do the same drills but be aware of the people around – space awareness. (Gambetta 2007)
I have found this week increasing difficult working with Emma as she has learning difficulties. I feel she demands more time and work than I can possible give when I am working with such a big group. Over the next few weeks I am going to ask the teacher to come out and help assist so that Emma is still able to enjoy her self but everybody else is getting the same amount of assistance and attention from me.
All session objectives where met and I could see progression in all of the participants. I feel it is going to be an on going problem that the team has not gelled yet so I need to work on this over the next few weeks.
